DISC 4 Business Success Story

Recently, we had a client engage us to conduct several rounds of staff and leadership development training based on the DISC Model of Human Behavior.

This client works in a highly competitive environment for both clients and staff. Due to various reasons, they were experiencing an unacceptable degree of employee turnover. Because they operate a 24 hour-per-day, 7 day-per-week business, this turnover caused them to expend large sums of money on overtime and temporary worker fees.

They engaged our services to help their supervisors learn how to communicate more effectively with their staff and what to do to create a more positive working environment. Employee surveys they conducted prior to engaging our services indicated that these items could have a significant impact on their employee turnover and, as a result, on their monthly overtime and temporary worker expenses.

Immediately after we conducted the training, we began a series of individual and group coaching sessions to help the organization drive understanding and application of the DISC model throughout their teams. Right from the start, we started seeing success as people learned to work and interact with each other in new and better ways.

Within six months of the initial training, this organization saw their overtime and temporary worker expenses drop by something like 20%. The resulting cost reductions gave them a payback on their training investment of approximately 6:1 in the first six months after training.

That’s a success story!
